The fried food was too greasy and dark. It felt like the oil had not been changed at all. It was not delicious at all. At 8 euros a portion, it was expensive! Some tourists directly bought a set meal for 16 euros (one portion of fried seafood and one portion of French fries). It was so expensive! My mouth was still raw after eating. Don't buy it! ! ! ! Please stop recommending small sweet potatoes.

Unfortunately the shop is closed. Just keep going down the street. There are other fish shops there.
The fish was very delicious but unfortunately too oily for my taste. The same goes for the calamari. The hustle and bustle was real , the crowd and the queue was an overkill relative to the quality of the food.
I visited here for lunch and was overall pleased with the food. Some of the dishes were quite good, while others were just good. However, I was not pleased with the service. The staff was quite rude and the place looked weird, didn't feel comfortable being there. Major down side It was very noisy, not a place I would visit that much.
Typical 'good location, bad service'. You pay for a whole meal but get food served on a sheet of paper and plastic cutlery. The staff treatment is also not the most friendly. Not recommend it.
Normally I’d recommend “Simonis” without hesitation- but the “op de hoek” location is not so hot.
We experienced dirty tables- overflowing garbage bins - and lots of bird droppings on the chairs & tables.
I wonder why this has to be in times of zoonotic diseases.
Resuming a bad experience.
